Why Go on Sorrento Vacation

Nestled on the shores of the breathtaking Naples Bay and busking in the sunlight, the charming town of Sorrento is a mysterious place, greatly influenced by two mighty civilizations of the past, Ancient Greece and the Roman Empire. As an Italian city, the latter is somehow self-evident, while the first might come as a surprise. The legend says that it was Odysseus who built the temple to thank the mighty greek Goddess for keeping him safe as he traveled through the dangerous waters. But that's not the only place, of course. The city boasts numerous amazing sights to explore, such as the 7th-century San Francesco complex and, one of the most well-known Sorrento tourist attractions, the striking Cathedral of Sorrento, known as the Duomo among locals.
