Day 1
Arrival in Venice & Introductory Bacari Tour

Welcome to the unparalleled Italian jewel, Venice! Today you start your journey with a private water-taxi transfer to the hotel for the check-in. The rest half of the day is free for you to start exploring on your own or relax after the trip.

In the evening, you embark on a guided Bacari tour, during which you enjoy the opportunity to get better acquainted with the Venetian culture and local customs. Bacari is a type of a bar, where people stop by to enjoy a glass of wine and "cicchetti" - plates of traditional lagoon specialties, such as polenta or croutons with salt cod, fried fish, grilled cuttlefish, sardines in saor, and marinated anchovies.

During the tour, you visit three different bars in the picturesque Rialto area and savor the local delicacies along with talks of your upcoming Italian adventure with a local professional guide.

Day 2
Venice Sightseeing Tour

Following breakfast, you're met by your private guide in the lobby and set forth to a wonderful walking city tour of all the important highlights.

You start with a visit to St. Mark's Basilica with the amazing Pala D'Oro altar. Then you move to enjoy the best panoramic views of St. Mark's Basilica Square at Loggia dei Cavalli.

The magnificent Doges Palace is next on your tour hallmarks list. You cross the Bridge of Sighs, visit the old prisons, and luxurious Palace's chambers.

After the tour, you return to the hotel to relax. The rest of the day is at your leisure, or you can go on an optional gondola ride.

Day 3
Free Day in Venice & Train to Florence

Today you have the first half of the day free to enjoy the wonders of Venice, such as the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, on your own or get some rest before upcoming travel. Alternatively, you can take a short optional tour to the Murano and Burano Islands nearby.

  • Optional tour: Trip to Murano and Burano Islands
    Enjoy a tranquil trip through the Venetian lagoon to the exceptional colorful fishing village on Burano Island, famous for the production of lace, and make your way later to Murano, well-known for its glass blowing traditions.

In the afternoon, you hop onboard a private water-taxi for a transfer to the train station and board a train heading towards Florence. You reach your destination in about two hours, where you are met by your guide and driver and taken to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the evening is free.

Day 4
Florence Sightseeing

Set off to explore the most iconic landmarks in Florence while on a 3-hour walking tour with a professional private guide. 

Today you pay a visit to the renowned Piazza del Duomo, as well as the Baptistery dedicated to St. John the Baptist. Make sure to make the most out of your ticket to the Grande Museo del Duomo, which allows you to visit not only the Cathedral itself but numerous other monuments of Piazza del Duomo during your free time as well. The ticket is valid for 72 hours and provides entrance to the famous Dome, the Bell Tower, and the Cathedral Museum, boasting works by Michelangelo and Donatello. 

Make your way to marvel at Piazza della Signoria, the main square of the city, while walking along several attention-worthy sights, such as Piazza della Repubblica and the Strozzi Palace. You also don't want to miss the chance to wander along one of the most beautiful streets in Verona, the nearby Via Tornabuoni.

Cross the Arno River on Ponte Vecchio and continue your tour to the Oltrarno district, filled with not only monuments but authentic crafts to admire as well. Visit the shops of local craftsmen to get acquainted with their art forms before moving on to marvel at the Santo Spirito Church and Convent, built for the Augustinians. 

Talking about art, this is the part of the city, where you can find the early works of 17-year-old Michelangelo. You also have the chance to witness his talent at Galleria dell'Accademia, where the tour takes you to marvel at his iconic colossal statue of David.

Highlights of Rome

Prepare yourself for a trip to the Eternal City, Rome! After breakfast in your Florence hotel, you check out, and then you are transferred to the railway station. In about 1.5 hours, you arrive at this magical city. Your driver meets you and takes you to your central hotel, where your private guide is waiting for you. Together you set off on a tour to explore the famous hallmarks of the Eternal City.

On your adventure, you see the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the famous Fountain of the Four Rivers, as well as observe the masterpieces by Bernini, Borromini, and many others.

After the tour, you return to your hotel, and you have the evening at leisure.

Vatican Sightseeing

Following breakfast, your guide meets you and walks you to the world’s smallest independent state, Vatican*. In the Vatican, you visit private apartments of Julius II, Pinecone Courtyard, Gallery of the Maps, Gallery of the Tapestries, and Gallery of Candelabra.

The Sistine Chapel is your next stop, where you admire Michelangelo's famous frescoes and learn about the history behind them.

Enjoy a short coffee break and continue your journey to St. Peter’s Basilica with a fascinating Pieta, a famous work of Renaissance sculpture by Michelangelo, and Bernini's impressive Papal Canopy, the Barberini family legacy left to the Basilica.

Your tour ends in St. Peter’s Square, where Michelangelo's Dome is located, as well as the architectural wonders of Bernini.

After the tour of the Vatican, you enjoy a free walk to the hotel together with your guide having a photo stop at the legendary Castel Sant'Angelo, which in due times served as a mausoleum, a fortress, refuge and a prison.

Once the tour is finished, you have the rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the beauty of Rome on your own.

Homemade Pasta Cooking Class & Discovering Ancient Rome

Start your day off right with wonders of so-called Cucina Romana, well-known for its legendary pasta. Enjoy a cooking class with a professional chef and get acquainted with Roman pasta dishes, as well as insights on how to make fresh pasta and authentic sauces. The masterclass is topped with an outstanding lunch of the dishes prepared.

After lunch, you meet your guide and set off to explore the famous Eternal City on a walking tour. Situated on low ground, between the Palatine and Capitoline hills, the iconic Roman Forum is your first stop. Built back in around the 3rd century A.D., the landmark served as the center of politics and rituals.

Today you behold the historical remnants of ancient Rome such as the Temple of Caesar and the Arch of Septimius Severus, as well as the neighboring site of the city’s first settlements, Palatine Hill.

Of course, the legendary Colosseum, the symbol of Rome. The biggest building of its kind in the Roman Emire and an arena for gladiators' fights is your next travel point. Basically known as Flavius amphitheater, it could hold up to 70 thousand spectators.

After the tour, your guide takes you back to the hotel, and you have the evening at leisure.

Departure from Rome

What To Know

  • You can expect to find some shops and restaurants closed from 1-4 p.m. as it is "Riposo" time, Italy’s midday siesta. Most places will be also closed on Sundays

  • Tipping in restaurants is included in the bill, the cover charge is called ”coperto”. A charge from $1 to $3 will be noted on the menu.
  • Make sure you have coins, in Italy you will be typically charged from 1 to 2 Euros to enter a public restroom
