Arrival
Once you arrive, proceed to check in at your hotel located in the charming Val d'Orcia area. The remainder of the day is free for you to spend as you wish.
Siena Sightseeing
This morning, your private driver takes you to the charming medieval city of Siena for a guided tour. During your exploration, you visit its most notable landmarks, including the Cathedral of the Duomo, renowned for masterpieces by artists such as Nicola Pisano, Ghirlandaio, Ghiberti, Donatello, and Jacopo Della Quercia.
You then continue to the famous Piazza del Campo, the distinctive shell-shaped square celebrated for hosting thrilling horse races.
After the tour, you return to your farmhouse hotel in the Tuscany region, where the rest of the day is free for your own activities.
Tour to Pienza and Montepulciano
Meet your driver and travel to Pienza, celebrated for its exceptional Pecorino di Pienza cheese, named after the Italian word for sheep, pecora. This specialty cheese is made solely in and around Pienza from sheep’s milk. You begin with some free time to explore Pienza’s historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and take in its architectural gems such as the Renaissance Palazzo Piccolomini, the Cathedral of Pienza, and the Palazzo Comunale.
Next, visit a charming organic cheese farm perched on a hilltop, offering sweeping views over the Val d’Orcia and Pienza. Here, the local cheesemaker explains the production process of pecorino cheese, showing you the stages of maturation from young and soft to aged and complex.
You then head to a traditional winery near Montepulciano for a tasting of the esteemed Vino Nobile di Montepulciano*, one of the first wines in Italy to receive DOCG status.
Finally, enjoy some leisure time in Montepulciano’s historic centre before returning to your hotel.
Chianti Wine Tour
Today, your private driver takes you on a full-day tour of the scenic Chianti region, nestled between Florence and Siena. Visit an organic or biodynamic winery, walk among lush vineyards, explore atmospheric wine cellars, and savour tastings of Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, and Supertuscan wines.
A highlight of the day is a traditional homemade Tuscan lunch. After the tour, return to your farmhouse hotel for a relaxing evening at leisure.
